General District Wide Matters, Part 1 earthworks, light and temporary activities

This hearing will consider submissions and provisions for district wide matters – light, earthworks, signs and temporary activities.
This chapter:
- provides for the management of light spill, glare and sky glow effects,
- ensures that signage is consistent across the region but allow the flexibility of design and style to create diversity and interest in the environment,
- recognises that earthworks are a necessary part of many primary production and infrastructure activities and provides a permissive approach outside of sensitive environments for earthworks in rural areas in particular.
